It was not until 1967 that a second distillery was built right next to the old, aging distillery. At times the distilleries produced in parallel as Clynelish A and Clynelish B. After the old distillery was briefly closed, both distilleries were restarted a short time later. The old one was named Brora, the new one remained Clynelish. In 1983 the old Brora Distillery was finally closed. While
